If you didn’t already know (and to be honest I do keep it to myself rather when sober) I am rather a large supporter of Arsenal football club - anywhere that encourages shouting, swearing and cheering in such a mass level must be a pretty cool place and a very good way to spend a weekend.
Yesterday marked the first competitive game at our brand spanking new stadium - the Emirates stadium and while I am rather pissed off at the fact that the tickets now cost so much I have to say that it really is a nice place; I am going again on Wednesday so I can’t be put off so much by the prices! Everything is just so squeeky clean, the views are awesome (I have now sat in both the lower and upper-tier - just the posh seats left in order to provide the perfect judgement) and I am confident our first season in it will be a succesful one - COME ON THE ARSENAL!!!
Unfortunatly the game yesterday sucked and ranked of a typical performance from years back - we have all the possesion, all the shots but end up drawing the game 1-1; really frustrating but hey thats football; I’m not going to rant as I imagine you don’t give a monkies - you are here to hear about the stadium!
Yesterday I was in row 29 of the upper tier - it was a very long way up and I had to chuckle as a bunch of unfit kids tried getting up the stairs, look in horror as a bunch of fat guys toiled their way up the stairs and look rather ansiously as I few old geezers tried making thier way up there - I am sure that next time they will go for seats lower down!
Next game is Wednesday, I am lower tier this time - its cheaper and in my opinion much better!!
