With the brand spanking new TimeOut Eating Guide 2007 in my hands I can finally produce my restaurant wish list for the upcoming year.
I love going out eating, its always good to get out of the house and see new places; equally as I hate washing up its also a good opportunity to miss out on that thankless chore once in a while and treat myself to a night of culinary enjoyment, though I will admit my wallet does sometimes complain (or may that be the drink playing tricks on me again!?!?). My restaurant wish list is gained from flicking through the TimeOut guide, seeing what takes my fancy then picking the best of those out so I can treat myself to one a month for the rest of the year; unfortunately this time around I could only cut it down to 15 so I will have to double up for a couple of months and live like a hermit - that’s all fine in the name of food! Essentially I want to find some of the best places to eat in London and then recommend them to you; I have gone for a selection of over 10 different cuisines so hopefully there is something for everyone.
To get your taste buds going I am publishing my list for next year (though I will be starting this month now - I have no idea of order yet and can be swayed it you want me to check out places before you go there, or indeed fancy going there because you like the idea of it!!)
The list
As I have said I have no sense of order yet, I can go anyplace at any time - but when I do you can be sure I will be talking about it from here and in its own article. If you would like to contribute (or maybe even join me) please leave a comment and I will see what I can do!

Sounds like a right foodie-fest. I’ve been to Champor-Champor and (I think) the Queen of Sheba - both of which offered excellent nosh. I must renew my acquaintence with them sometime.

I have been to the Peasant on St John’s Street a few times now over the years. Mainly to meet up for drinks in the downstairs bar and move on further into Clerkenwell - we went for a meal upstairs once. From memory the meal was gorgeous, and I’m vegetarian and sometimes Gastropubs only put goats cheese on the menu (which I personally don’t like). I remember the choice was good, my meat eating friends loved it too and the dessert was delicious - we all said we’d have a meal there again! Enjoy!

When visiting London I had a chance to eat in St John restaurant with my local friends. Generally I liked it there but the food did not have any special flavour. I will not go there again unless I have to.
