Welcome to Django!

Old content alert!

Thanks very much for visiting my blog. Always happy to have people read my stuff but just thought I should point out this post is years old. If it's about technical stuff there is a possibility that it is no longer relevant, if it's a bug report/fix I'm hoping that it should now have been fixed.

Of course if this is what you're looking for and it does work then great, just don't say I didn't warn you...

I’ve been getting into Django for the past month and one of the things you hear about it all the time is how user friendly it is; how easy it is to understand. This is of course great and the kind of thing a not so confident programmer like myself like to hear!

Of course sometimes things don’t quite go to plan and you get beauties like this…..

Error when calling the metaclass bases metaclass conflict: the metaclass of a derived class must be a (non-strict) subclass of the metaclasses of all its bases

and you start to wonder about the brain power of those who publish that this is easy!

Oh well, onwards and upwards….
