backnetworking and after conference drinking

With just about a week to go before the much mentioned d.Construct get under way I want to thank the maker (Glenn Jones) of the d.Construct backnetwork – it really is a thing of beauty. Not only has it allowed for me it see what other people have written about the conference but also allowed me to set up a list of people I know who are attending, get yet another picture and profile of me up on the web and most greatly of all won the argument with work colleagues that microformats are very very cool indeed! I’m off to the seaside – and a conference!

As I have been booked up to attend d.Construct for well over a month now I think its about time that I actually said something about it. In a nutshell I am rather excited. I have always been a fan of coding up things (mainly because I can’t design for toffee) and all the recent developments in the web gets me really excited and ehtused as to what may well be possible in a number of years (if not months if Yahoo! have anything to say about it) over the web and a with a web browser and this is essentually what d.Construct is going to be about – a bunch of technically minded people talking code, talking web and in my case probably talking a load of bollocks!
